We enjoyed three winners from five selections yesterday to improve your Monday woes. Our big tips return with five to back from meetings across the card today!
2:00 Nottingham – Global Exceed (8/1)
Ed Dunlop’s two-year-old was massively disapointing on his debut when only defeating one rival at Brighton. He’s bred to do much better than that, and with the cost that owner Johnny Hon paid for him you’d expect him to be up for winning this. He’s beautifully bred and if he’s improved I do fancy his chances.
3:30 Nottingham – Prize Diva (7/1)
Prize Diva certainly looked like she needed the longer trip when finishing fourth at Lingfield on her seasonal bow. She’s yet to strike in three efforts, but the extended trip should encourage her a bit more. I think she’s one to keep an eye out for regardless
3:40 Newcastle – Master Singer (7/12)
I really would be suprised if this one doesn’t win! He’s a nicely bred colt who impressed me when third at Newbury last time out. He wasn’t too far out that day, and the booking of Ryan Moore suggested they may have been expecting more from him. This is a huge step down in class, and he’s certainly the one to beat. Parasail is the big danger.
3:55 Gowran Park – Switch In Time (7/1)
Dermot Weld’s three-year-old has slipped slightly under the radar having been away from the track since August. He’s got class throughout the family, and didn’t run too badly on his only start when fifth at Leopardstown. The form of that race is exceptionally strong, with plenty of good winners coming out of the race. There’s a chance he may need the run, but he’s one that will win a maiden for sure.
6:55 Gowran Park – Music Box (4/9)
A Ballydoyle colt with two good efforts already in the book, but Music Box remains a maiden. On debut he finished third, not too far off stable companion and winner Asking. Then he found Irishcorrespondant too good at Leopardstown last month, he’s now a key player in the Irish 2000 Guineas. The form is solid, and it won’t take too much to put this to bed.
