Our selections on the card, with quality racing coming from Goodwood and Sandown.
4:20 Goodwood – Mori NAP (5/2)
In a race dominated by Juddmonte, Mori gets the verdict for Sir Michael Stoute and Ryan Moore. After a decent attempt on his debut, he won in good style when last seen at Ascot. He’s beautifully bred, and could be a very good prospect in the making
4:55 Goodwood – Apphia (5/2), Button Up (13/2) ew
Hugo Palmer’s three-year-old should improve a significant amount after a good second place finish at Sandown on her last start. That run was more for the experience, and now she should be sharper. She’s well bred and has a good future ahead of her.
Button Up was very green on her debut and she should improve significantly for Sir Michael Stoute.
5:40 Tipperary – Murillo (2/1)
This Ballydoyle colt was massively below par when last seen when sixth at the Curragh. That run, like others, was only an introduction, and he should improve massively for the run.
7:05 Sandown – Big Orange (5/4)
He’s the star contender of the day and he should be too good for this field. The globetrotting six-year-old was last seen finishing fourth in Dubai, and this step down in grade puts him back in with a serious winning chance.
8:10 Sandown – Khafoo Shememi ew (8/1)
One from the notebook who was disapointing on his last start when fifth at Ascot. He should be better than that, and deserves his place in a listed race.
